Air domes

Implemented projects

Advantages

  • The cost is much lower compared with that of permanent buildings
  • Long-term service life
  • Made from high-strength materials resistant to all weather conditions and UV radiation
  • Can withstand high wind and snow loads
  • Easy dismantling, transportation and repeated installation
  • Possibility of using any type of foundation, including mobile foundations
Vector designs and manufactures air domes and air-supported structures. These buildings are chosen when a project needs fast installation, a large clear-span interior, and efficient protection from weather. An air dome can cover sports fields, tennis courts, pools, industrial areas, warehouses, or agricultural facilities without internal columns. Each air supported structure is calculated individually for the site, required span, operating conditions, entrances, lighting, and climate-control equipment.

Air domes are used for football fields, swimming pools, riding arenas, tennis courts, event spaces, warehouses, hangars, storage sites, and production areas. Vector has experience installing air-supported buildings on different prepared surfaces, including uneven sites and challenging soil conditions.

An air-supported building is a reinforced membrane system supported by controlled internal pressure. Under standard operating conditions, the pressure level is low and managed automatically by the air supply system. With the right membrane, anchoring, doors, heating, ventilation, and backup equipment, air-supported structures can operate in outdoor temperatures from -22°F to +104°F and withstand significant wind and snow loads.
